HomeGoods Weekend

Hi everyone:

Hope you are having a good weekend so far.  I sure am.  My darling husband announced to me this morning that he and Buddy had a surprise for me.  A shopping trip to HomeGoods.

This was one of the sweetest things he could do for me, because I love shopping HomeGoods but it also is a 60 mile trip both ways so it is very special.

Here are the treasures that I found:

An obelisk to put into one of 4 planters that will divide the walkway in the Secret Garden.

This beautiful vase planter is the same color as the
cushions on the wicker settee that is in the Gazebo in the Secret Garden.

And this sweet little tabletop bird bath with the bird cage.  There is a little bird at the very top.  This may go onto a table in the Secret Garden, or it may stay on my dining room table.   Time will tell.

Here is a picture that has nothing to do with HomeGoods, but I did pick it up at the thrift store yesterday and just loved his little face so wanted to show him to you.

Isn't he just the cutest little thing?

Well, so ends Saturday and it was blissful.

The burning question is: What and Where is the Secret Garden?

IT'S A SECRET!!!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend..Judy

P.S. Now he just tells me that we are going to IHOP for a piece of pie.
Can it get any better??!!

    1. Hi DeeDee: I left alot of stuff there so I'm sure you can find something. I didn't quite word that right. It is 30 miles one way so 60 miles round trip. But that is still pretty far. We are working on the Secret Garden and will reveal when done, which in our language might be far, far away. Jerry says he's cheap but slow! His words, not mine..Happy Sunday..Judy

  4. Hi Judy.....I don't know what I would do if a Homegoods/TJMaxx/or Marshalls was that far from my home...I have about a dozen to pick from with a 14 mile radius....TJ/Homegoods super store is my favorite....I can spend tons of money there....they have the best dishes for cheap...Glad you got to go....Now you need to find a close by IKEA....Have a great rest of the weekend...

    1. Hi Sue: The IKEA is waaaaay down I-80. I get there maybe once a year. But, I have my ways. I "forgot" my grocery list so now we have to go to Costco next week and there might be one of those stores on the way. Darn!!! Thanks for your nice comments..Happy Sunday..Judy

    1. Silvia: Thank you. I think I might be, spoiled, that is! I love making the collages now with the frames, thanks to you. It was right in front of my eyes and I didn't see it. My fingers must be faster than my mind. It's raining here today, so it's almost April showers. Spring can't be too far behind, can it??!!. Thank you, as always, for your sweet comments..Happy Sunday, Judy.

  12. Judy what wonderful spring finds! I can't believe that your Home Goods is so far away! Lucky you have such a wonderful hubby to take you on a shopping spree! I hope you do try the risotto recipe...we had it tonight and both kids and hubby loved it!!!

  13. Hi Barbara: No one really believes me!! But it's true. We have a great little town but the shopping is very limited and, certainly, not too many of the bargains we can get at those other places. They keep telling everyone to shop local, but you do what you have to, to get a bargain!! Thanks for stopping by the Cottage..Happy Monday..Judy

    1. Hi Candy: Glad you found the Cottage. I'm glad to have you. I am following you also now. There is no tag on the bunny but Boyd does ring a bell now that I'm thinking about it. Thanks for the kind words about my lamp. I made the shade a couple of years ago. I've made a few but I think this one was my best attempt. I like how it photographs when it is lit. Thanks again for joining me at the Cottage..Happy Monday..Judy

  21. Gosh, your husband is really a keeper! I think I would faint if my husband made those same suggestions to me. I would wonder what happened to my REAL husband! Ha! I love the crown obelisk that you got. Would love to have one of those! Homegoods is such a fun place to shop at.

  22. Hi Kelly: Yes, I'm pretty darn lucky. If you hurry to HomeGoods you probably could pick one up. They had them in 3 sizes. Mine was the mid size. I think it was $14 so the small one would be even less, and I think the large one was $18. Thanks for stopping by..Happy Wednesday..Judy
