The tide has turned
 and what appeared to be
  fantasy last week
 has now turned into

We all worked
 long and hard and,
 although it's not totally done,
 the dining room is starting
to take shape
and will be, once again,
 a place of good cheer
 where family will join hands
 around the table and
raise a glass
to celebrate Thanksgiving.

I'm able
 to give you a peek
at some of the unfinished business
 and will share more
next week.

The kids will be coming up
 and I'm hoping
my sister will be able to make it too.

 The day
 will truly be
 a time
to be thankful for.

In the meantime,
 I will fill you in
 on what Kai
 has been up to.

 If you noticed earlier
 in this post,
I mentioned
we all had been busy
working on the room...

"Every breath you take
and every move you make

Every bond you break,
 every step you take..
I'll be watching you...

...every single day
and every word you say

Every game you play,
 every right you stay..
I'll be watching you."

I'll Be Watching You

  1. Hi Judy,
Your little helper Kai is pretty cute standing by and watching! I like your wreath and your Noah's Ark is darling. Looking forward to seeing your room next week. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful week.

    Autumn blessings,

  2. So glad your family will be there for Thanksgiving! Can't wait to see the reveal. What a cute helper. LOVE the yarn wreath- what a cute idea! Angela

  3. LOL- Every worker needs a watcher! You've got a good one there. That Noah's Ark is just so cute and I am happy your family will be there for Turkey Day! xo Diana

  4. Judy, I loved your pictures. The dog and the captain...that is so darn funny, yet adorable. Blessings to all, xoxo,Susie

  5. OH what fun your doggie is - supervising so well. And what great news - the family all together. We are taking the family out to dinner tonight for our daughter's 50th birthday - then back here for cake and gifts. Annnnnd - I found the almost perfect china cabinet for the dining room - our SIL will pick it up for us tomorrow then I can clean it and decorate for thanksgiving. It will be perfect when I paint it next summer - but for now - light wood will be fine - I'm so excited!!!!! Enjoy your preparations - I think they are half the fun.

  6. I'm glad your husband has such a good 'helper' to keep him company. :) Looking forward to the reveal of your revamped dining room. Blessings.

  7. How exciting Judy! I am so happy for you and I just adore that yarn ball twig wreath!!! Did you make that? It's fabulous!
