LOOKING AHEAD...

Today is a very special day.
It is Election Day.

 One way or the other,
it most likely will go down
known as being one of the most
 controversial and important ones.

  Hopefully,
we have all done our duty and
now it will soon be over.

There is nothing left to do but wait and see.
  If nothing else,
it will be one for the history books.

While we wait, however,
I thought I'd show you some
Christmas creations I have come up with.
 I love doing headers now
with the new Blogger and,
honestly,
I can't wait for a reason to change.
  Evidently it doesn't take much
 to make me happy and
I wanted to share with you
some of my happiness
that intermingles with the nightmares
that are front and center
in our lives now.

It was enlightening
to go back through photos
 from past Christmases...

...and apply scenes
from different years
that in retrospect
would not have gone together.

It was helpful, too,
in planning for this holiday's decorations
since most of them will be used over again
which is not too different from years past.
 I do admit, however,
there was a small amount of
on-line shopping taking place
so you might spy
a few changes.

Carona Christmas to you
Carona Christmas to you
Merry Christmas !!@%^&# Virus
You can't steal all our good cheer!

While the waiting is almost over,
 I just want to wish
everyone well and
 hope that a decision
 will be reached
that is fair and just and
will be the right thing for our country.

 There has been
so much hardship this year, and
 it started well before Covid-19.

 This election, and our votes,
may well be the most important thing
we do in our lifetime.

  I hope everyone is aware
 that the wrong decision
will shape our country forever and,
therefore, a lot of hard thinking and
concerns for
 our younger generations to come
must be considered carefully.
 Four years
 should be enough time to
 learn from our mistakes.

 Do the right thing!

Remember Santa Claus
 is Coming to Town
 so...

You Better Stay Smart
You Better Stay Well
If There Is Still Time and You Haven't Yet -
VOTE!
And Above All Else...

Wear The Mask!

  1. I love this post and all your headers. I have NO IDEA how to do these in new blogger. I'll have to explore -- I'm getting very tired of mine -- I've probably had it eight years -- that's how long I've had Lizzie!

    1. Thanks so much, Jeanie. I edit my photos in Picasa and there is a collage that I use. After I have set it up, I just use the "enlarger" on new blogger to put the photo back to original size and that is how it works. Without Picasa, I don't know how it would work..Stay well. and Happy Election Day!!!..xxoJudy

  2. I'm not ready to jump into Christmas yet, I'm still waiting for my fall show, but I do appreciate your Christmas spirit today, it is sorely needed. I can't bear to turn the tv on, I am craving normalcy again so bad I could cry, I want this all in the past and let the noise stop and the healing begin... Beautiful images always transport, thank you. Excited for Friday, I hope we truly see rain, but the temps will be dropping fast, great for fall foliage 😍

    1. Thanks so much. Boy, I am with you. I truly hope that this will all be a more wonderful world shortly, but I am losing faith bit by bit. It will be close up to the wire. I have decided that I am going to embrace the Christmas spirit. Stay in my little Cottage and keep Christmas and its spirit all year long! Rain would be nice and cold too. Anything that resembles normalcy!..Stay well..xxoJudy

  3. Hi Judy. Love all your headers. How fun you are loving changing them up. I hope we will all be at peace with whatever the outcome will be in the election. Just praying that our country can be united once again and at peace. Covid has been such a hardship for so many. Have a great day today. xoxo Kris

    1. Thanks so much, Kris. I am having fun doing the headers but it can be addicting. I will be so glad when all this election stuff is over with and I feel very strongly that the outcome has to be for the good of our country. I think I will just concentrate on Christmas and keep it going all year long..Stay well..xxoJudy

  4. Hi Judy... I love all of your new collages! I love making collages too. I don't have picasa, but use ipiccy and PhotoscapeX.. both free programs. It's so fun to see all photos past, put into one collage. I can do it for hours! I agree.. I want "normal" to return! Our weather has been weird, TV has been weird (no new shows hardly) and everything else, and I want some 'normal' in my life! It's 70 degrees out today (Nov. 4th) and I went out and mowed (once more but maybe not!) and blew leaves into the street.. pulled up dead flowers, etc. It's so DRY here.. no rain hardly except a couple of gully washers this summer, but they were over in 15 minutes. I would love some rain and even maybe a little snow.. and I'm not a snow lover anymore! Just embrace the holidays and hope things can get back to normal and that our country can begin the healing and reuniting, as it should be. Hugs.. Marilyn

    1. Thanks so much, Marilyn. Our garden is starting to show some fall color but a lot of it is just brown and dead! Still fall colors though. It is imperative that we get back to normal as soon as possible and a good start will be to have this election a thing of the past! We have got to get this virus under control if we are to have any kind of hope, in my opinion..Stay well my friend..xxoJudy

  5. Such gorgeous photos, you used. I'm trying to concentrate on day by day. We had gorgeous weather today and I raked leaves and got them into the garden to be tilled in...(our tiller died) so crossing our fingers we can find one that is on clearance. Hoping for an end to the political situation, but seeing the numbers---we have more problems and division than I thought was possible, in this country. I'm thinking we need to eliminate the electoral college, then every citizen has one vote, and then the votes are counted, and the winner declared...period. Sure would eliminate a lot of hassle and drama, not to mention all the electioneering. Hugs, and brave post, so well done. Sandi

    1. Thanks so much, Sandi. Sounds like you are doing good, constructive stuff!. I guess we are getting close to the end of this election, but it sure is dragging on. I never remember this happening before, but then I don't think I was as interested before. It would be so nice if the votes could be counted from each individual and that would be it. Ha, we would already be through. Stay well, my friend..xxoJudy

    1. Thanks so much, Jean. Really, the new blogger is not too different from the old way as far as I know. I use Picasa to edit my photos and once I bring them up I put them into the collage form, which is the same as I always did it, where the new blogger comes in specifically is that once the collage is on the post, I just click on "size original" and it makes the photos the size that I like. (Click onto your photo and a little window comes up and you can see where you the change the size of your photo if you want to). Maybe there is something that you can do in the "settings" of the new blogger program, but this way works just like I like it. Hope this is understandable, it isn't always easy to show and tell..Good luck and stay well..xxoJudy

    1. Thanks so much dear Brigitte. Yes, we are so lucky that the election went the right way. It was pretty close (which I find very hard to believe) but good triumphed. I love that the mayor of Paris wrote: Welcome back, America!. The United States appreciates all of the world's blessings on all our behalf...Stay well my friend..xxoJudy
