INTRODUCTIONS AND UPDATES...

Tami, Tim, Jake and Jacenda

came up this past weekend and brought with them,

that little piece of apricot fluff

playing with Bean.

  Robin's new little brother...

...and she is contemplating

if this was a good decision or not!

Let me introduce you to Rugby.

He was a stray down in Santa Cruz and ended up at the shelter where Tami works.

Nothing much is known about his past life but we think he might be around nine months old.

He was so matted that Tami had him clipped and a lot of hair had to be cut off.

They put him through his paces with shots, a bath, and neutering among other things.

He has the sweetest disposition and seems to love everybody and everything.

He and the Captain have already taken a few good walks

which is the reason that Tami thought he would be a good fit for him after his surgery.

He wants to play with Robin so badly

but true to her personality

she doesn't want anything to do with him

but that doesn't deter him at all.

Jake and Jacenda handed us their "save the date" invitation.

They will be getting married next July.

Jacenda showed Tami and me a photo of her gown.

It is stunning and it will be a day that we are all looking forward to.

Tim and Tami sent us this gorgeous arrangement of white roses for our anniversary.

 Sixty-two years.

Where did all that time go?

How do you celebrate 62 years of marriage?

Pack a picnic, sit by the pond at the fairgrounds and watch the ducks.

Now for an update on the Captain's and my health saga.

 He is doing so well

and is chomping at the bit for his next appointment in November,

hoping the doc will release him to do normal activities again.

I went back to the retina specialist yesterday

and got my second eye injection.

It has been a month since my first one

and the doc was impressed at how much better I was after only one injection.

 It was such good news

and I am feeling so fortunate that the treatments are working well.

I will be back next week with a bit more fall decor

and a surprise that I hope you will like.

Take care and thanks so much for all your support.

...xxoJudy...

  2. Oh Judy... such good news on your eyes and hubby's health! So glad to see him walking with that little bundle of joy! What a doll he is! I love your comments after each photo at the end! So cute....... I think Fall is here.... warm days, golden colors and cold nights. Haven't hit freezing yet, but getting pretty close! Those roses for your 62nd Anniversary are amazing! Wow.. you two... 62 years is quite an achievement. And congrats on Jake and Jacenda's upcoming marriage.. I bet you ARE very excited!!! I've had a few days of not feeling well, but I think it was just me doing way too much! Had a yard sale a week ago and was ALOT of work! then went to the coast with my 2 sisters, which was fun and very busy! Not enough time there. I hope to post about it on my blog, if I can ever get the motivation to do it! Take care... stay well.... enjoy the Fall! Hugs.. Marilyn

    1. Thanks so much, Marilyn. I hope you are feeling better. Sometimes we just push ourselves to far and then it finally catches up with us. Sounds like you had a lovely time on the coast. Getting away for a little bit is always nice. We are enjoying Rugby, well all of us except Robin!. Poor little girl! He is really such a good little dog except he is so young and still has all the puppy energy and our last few dogs have all been older so it takes getting used to. But, he is really a love. I'll look forward to hearing about your trip, the OR coast is so beautiful. Fairly close to California except to me it seems a little more rugged which I think is so beautiful.. I think (I hope) I am getting some of my motivation back too after our good health news..Take care, my friend..xxoJudy

    1. Thanks so much, Kris.. We are very happy about all our news. Poor little Robin, she just does not want to be bothered. Just wants to enjoy her two treasured moments, sitting on my lap and eating! But Rugby thinks she should have a third! He is such a love but so much younger than our past few dogs so it takes a little getting used to. Hope all is well with you, my friend..xxoJudy

  5. Good morning from Virginia. Like you, I was just a child, 20 years old, on my wedding day, July 14, 1961. July 14th is a very good day to get married. So happy for Jake and Jacinda. Love the puppy. So cute. Happy sixty second anniversary. That's wonderful ! ! ! ! I lost my soul mate in 1992. Sure do miss him. It's wonderful that your eye is showing improvement. I have a friend who is going through the same shots in his eye. Will be seeing my surgeon on Friday about repairing a hernia that has come because of other former surgery. Take care ~Charlotte in Va.

Hope you have good news from your surgeon. The golden years have some drawbacks don't they?..Happy Fall my friend, it was good hearing from you..xxoJudy

    1. Thanks so much, Jeanie. We are really joyful now and I could tell you were a bit worried about all that. I don't normally get down but this was really alot all at one time. Things are looking up and we are enjoying the beautiful weather right now and as much as I love to blog, I do find it liberating not to be on a schedule so I might not write every week but I won't stop altogether..Thanks for your support my friend..xxoJudy

And 62 years - you are my inspiration! Here I thought I was married a long time! A child bride, I see. :) How wonderful that you have taken in that sweet little pup. Sounds like you are just what he needed to thrive in this world. Congratulations to the sweet young couple, too. Something special to look forward to. Happy Anniversary! Sending hugs xo K
