FINALLY...

"Where is he? We have been waiting forever."

The stockings were hung

by the chimney with care

in hopes that St Nicholas

 soon would be there...

but, alas, that didn't happen until last Sunday...

...but then the day came

and we had a wonderful time.

Good food, great gifts and it was so nice to finally be together.

 Tami and Tim gave us

 a set of security cameras

and the boys installed them

while they were here.

They also gave us an instrument to block those pesky robo calls

that we get so many of.

We had one yesterday

and I pushed the "block" button

and it immediately shut it down.

What a blessing!

Jake and Jacenda gave us a doggie DNA kit to send in for Rugby.

We just sent it off so am anxious

to find out what he is made of.

Speaking of Rugby,

he was very sick this past week.

He had no energy and he finally stopped eating so we took him to the vet

and after x-rays and blood tests and an assortment of meds

found out that he had eaten

a bunch of tinsel

from off the Christmas tree.

Our pretty new Christmas tree turned out to be very expensive

and we coined a new descriptive term: tinsellitious...

...but as you can see

he is back to his fun little self

and enjoying playtime

 with granddoggie, Bean.

Robin was performing her referee duties from just far enough.

She will not join in the playtime

but she sure has a lot to say about it!

The cubbies are now lined up in each room

waiting for the final decorations

to be put away.

Now on to some long awaited projects

 and a clean house,

 hopefully, sooner than later.

I apologize for poor picture quality

but just wanted to get off a short message to let you know

that I am still alive and kicking and trying to get back on track.

Hope all is well with everyone.

...xxoJudy...

  1. Judy, it looks fabulous and I know it was. Sometimes a delayed holiday is all the better because of the anticipation and having it spread out a bit when so much usually goes on at one time. Tinselitis sounds VERY expensive. I'm so sorry. But glad all is well now

    1. Thanks so much, Jeanie, and sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you. Winter weather, the Murdaugh trial and pure laziness is the culprit. We did have a great time and glad we finally got it done before Mother Nature unleashed her wrath..Happy winter..xxoJudy

  4. Judy,
so glad that you were finally able to get together and have your "Christmas"!! Sounds like you got some wonderful gifts too!! And so sorry to hear that your pup was ill...So scary when that happens as they can not tell you what is wrong...We have our grand pups a lot and they are such a joy to us!! Can't wait to see the changes and projects you can now do that Christmas is packed away...Truth be told, I still have Christmas in my upstairs....I will take it down after I pack away Winter/Valentine's and put out Easter in the downstairs...i enjoyed having it up during what i call the Winter which was not here in NEPA!!

    1. Thanks so much, Deb. Our little furry friends are really such a joy and fun to be around. I finally got the tree down and boxed up but before we could trek it out to the shed, winter broke loose and we have more snow that we know what to do with. Cars getting covered up and bogged down. Snow plows keep the main roads pretty clear but you just take your life in your hands on the side roads. That's what happens when you don't always have heavy winters. Hope you are staying warm..xxoJudy

  5. Oh Judy so happy to hear you finally had your Christmas together. Sounds like you got some beautiful and useful gifts. OMG about Rugby eating the tinsel. Our basset hound Molly years ago ate a string of Christmas lights. Oh boy that was an expensive Christmas! Why they like to eat weird things like that is amazing to me! I cannot believe we are already in Lent. Have a good week. Hugs. Kris

    1. Thanks so much, Kris. Isn't it wierd what interests their little minds. He is always bringing little sticks and berries into the house. We have never had a dog that picked up so much stuff. We had a really nice Christmas and are now enjoying a winter like we have never seen before. Guess we can't complain because when all the snow melts the water will be good for us but, wow, sure glad we don't have it every winter. At least not so far..Stay warm..xxoJudy

I don't get to say that very often but I do say it is very pretty.. I am looking forward to some springtime shortly! Stay warm..xxoJudy
