" Hi...Remember us?"
"We dropped in last spring for a little bit."
"We had such a great time that we couldn't wait to tell
our new cousins about the sweet little
cottage that has a secret garden where
they could play and be safe."
~~~~~~~~~~Fast forward to a new spring~~~~~~~~~~
"Our cousins told us about this place,
but we waited until we were a
little older to visit."
"Mama didn't want us to leave home too soon."
"This must be the place...it says we are welcome."
"And look, a perch just made for cuddling when the sun goes down, until Mama calls us back home to bed."
"In case you were wondering, our home is someplace up there
above the secret garden. We can have fun down in the garden
but Mama can still keep an eye on us."
"And she lets us know when we are misbehaving or when
it's time for dinner."
"We can hear her loud and clear."
"There seems to be plenty of liquid refreshments
and a nice tub when Mama makes us take
a bath..Ugh!"
"It's just great to get up in the morning
and not have to worry
about your hair."
"It's so much fun just sittin' in the sun,
hanging out among
the stars."
"And I can't wait until the 4th of July."
"This place is so cool."
"Hey, brother, down there.."
"Do you think we could live here forever?"
"I don't think we're ready to leave
anytime soon."
"But you could ask Mama."
We love the birds in our yard too. Our favorites are the quail couples that wander around and have breakfast under the bird feeders. Are those California Jays? Mimi
