SPEAKING OF: GIVING
Kai got so tired
of giving out candy
to the approximately
200 trick-or-treaters
(not to mention
trying to dip his nose into
their candy bags)
that he had to take
a rest
before bedtime.
SPEAKING OF: GETTING
I have been seeing
a lot of pretty velvet pumpkins
adorned with feathers lately.
I got these two at Michael's
marked down to $2.50 each.
That was all they had left
or I would have gotten
more for sure...
I also ordered
this great Santa springle mold
from sweet NanaDiana's etsy shop,
She has some
really pretty things for sale.
They are all items that
either she or members of her family
have owned
so they are passed on
with lots of love.
He will make part
of a great vignette
this Christmas.
SPEAKING OF: GIFTING
Diana also gifted me
with this cutest Boo banner
with scary skeletons and
ghostly ribbons.
She sure knows how to
warm the heart of
a Cottage Witch...
My dear sister, Sid,
gave me this beautiful
Secret Garden book.
It is the oldest one now
in my collection
with a copyright date of 1910.
Such a pretty cover and
will be a much cherished addition
to my obsession
of all things
Secret Garden...
Tim, Tami and Jake
sent an early birthday present.
They have one
and we have so much fun
watching those cute little hummers
when we visit.
Now, can't wait
until it stops raining
so we can put it up.
It has a very tall shepard's crook
that it hangs on,
so we can see it from the windows,
and some delicious red juice
that will make it
sweet and colorful
to attract the little guys.
Thank you all
for the kind and loving thoughts
that were put into these beautiful gifts.
I appreciate and love them
all so much.
SPEAKING OF: GAMING
When I was taking down
Halloween decorations
this past weekend,
I thought of three different ways that
I might decorate
the parlor mantle for harvest time.
Here they are
for your viewing pleasure:
Choice #1
Choice #2
Choice #3
Which one would you choose?
I already know
which one I will use and
will reveal it next week,
just thought it would be fun
to see if all
great minds think alike,
plus I needed another
"G" word
in the title!
and:
SPEAKING OF: GOATS
We will be off to Santa Cruz
to the Goat Hill Fair antique show.
But, before that,
I want to check out
Joanna's line
at Target.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!
and
HAVE A GREAT WEEK EVERYONE.
...Judy...

Hmm...I think the mantle looks fabulous all three ways. Although I must be honest, I haven't been peeking at the mantle itself so much as that fabulous garland hanging underneath it. Wow...I love it!! xo
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to you, Judy! Thank you so much for even mentioning me on your blog. You are so sweet! Glad your mold--I loved him for a long time.
ReplyDeleteI love all your mantle choices...hard to choose. However, given that Thanksgiving is coming I guess I would go with #2 with the turkey platter...but all are gorgeous---warm and welcoming!
I love that book from your sister and that old "educational board" is wonderful!!
I hope you have a great evening. xo Diana
Judy, I loved all the mantle displays...but I would want the house picture to show.:) #3. Great gifts. Love Diana's Santa mold. She knows you will love it. The hummer feeder is so cute. Happy birthday to you cutie pie. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

Happy Birthday!! I love choice number 1 for the mantel. Simple yet elegant. What will you buy from the Magnolia line at Target?!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, dear friend. Kai looks a lot like I did after I ate the bag of candy corn. 😋
ReplyDeleteI like the sound of Goat Hill Antique Fair. Have fun! Your goat is adorable!
Your mantel choices are all festive, but #1 would be my choice. I like those plump pumpkins! The hydrangea garland is gorgeous. Did you make it from dried hydrangeas?
Enjoy your birthday celebrations!
Happy Birthday!Love choice #2!An awesome post!Hugs,Maristella.
ReplyDeleteOh my I like them all especially the ones with the your home picture on the mantel. I do like that Turkey platter is is awesome. I think which ever one you chose will be wonderful since they are all so pretty. Little Kai all tired out from the trick or treaters is so cute. I kind of took that same position on the couch after eating too many bite size candy bars in between the trick or treaters!!!! Have a great rest of the week.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Kris
Like so many others, I truly do like all the mantels, but the turkey plattter is a standout. They each have something compelling though. I’m no help :(.
ReplyDeleteKai looks so adorable all pooped out. Rough life? lol
