ALL OUR BLESSINGS...

Today,
as I am trying to figure out
something interesting to write about,
 it is Easter Sunday.

 I hope
 that you all are enjoying
the best day that you can.

 What we can enjoy
is most likely
something very different from
what we are used to.

Even though
I have said that
I am normally a homebody and
this situation
we find ourselves in
is not hard for me,
 I think the time
could be near
where that
might be changing.

Just a small amount
at this time,
 but I can tell
it is coming.
  So,
what if it does?
What will I do
 if my feelings change
but our circumstances
remain the same?

The answer to me
 is pretty simple.

 Think about how
I am blessed and
how fortunate I am.

 I, personally, am not sick
nor is anyone I love and care about.
 I have not lost
a loved one out of the blue
nor do I have to think about
someone I love
 being alone at a time
when no one should
ever be.

I do not know anyone
 on the front lines
 who are risking their lives
to support someone I love and
I do not know anyone
of those heroes
who listen to the sounds,
day in and day out,
 of machines keeping someone alive,
 until it stops.

I am
 a very simple person.

  If I could change
the circumstances we are living now, personally,
I would go to Home Goods and
grab a hamburger at In 'n' Out Burger
on the way back home.
  For my loved ones
and for the world,
I would wish good health and
freedom from worry.

  That would make me happy,
but until that time comes,
I will continue to
 listen to the news,
 so I can put
into perspective
why we need to
 shelter in place
to keep ourselves and
our many blessings
safe.

There are very big reasons
 for wanting this
to be over for all of us but
 we can't lose track
 of the main focus
once the walls start closing in.

If we and our loved ones
 are not safe,
nothing else matters.

"Love one another and
you will be happy.
It's as simple
and
as difficult
 as that."

Michael Leunig

I have been showing you
some of my many blessings and
need to tell all of you
that you are
among them.

Please...

stay home and,
stay safe and well,

protect your blessings...

 so we can rise,
 together,
 above all this.

...Judy...

  1. I look forward to the day when I can actually put my arms around my family members and give them a real hug instead of a virtual one. Like you, I feel very, very blessed.

  4. I love all the pics and I am happy to hear you and your family have not gotten this virus. That is such a blessing with how deadly it has been. I love all the pics but I love the one of your fur loves playing. I am so happy I have Buddy during these long days without seeing friends and family. Terry is working long days so my little guy is my sweet cuddler. Stay safe and well.
    Hugs,

  5. Judy,
I loved seeing all your family pics!! So glad to hear that you and your family are safe... I am like you....I have no one who is alone right now especially since we moved our oldest son back home with us for the duration of this as he would have been alone 24/7 since he was working from his apartment. My son and DIL are right up the road.... I know from friends of mine that as of now, our area of Pa. is not inundated by Covid cases. In fact, there is only one department of 34 beds being used for such cases in the hospital that I worked in. Many nurses are being told to stay home here because with the order to stop all elective surgeries, many including other hospital personnel here have no work and have used up all their PTO time and can now sign up but many nurses can not because it is on a day to day basis so some are not even getting paid having exhausted all their paid time. I am good with staying home as I have said before so it truly is not bothering me at all...I listen only to local news and concern myself with what is happening here in my corner of the world. Mental Health experts has suggested that it is wise to do that to help maintain good mental health...
I hope you had a Happy Easter! Ours was pretty much the same as always! I posted my good friend Anne Marie's Easter Home Tour...If you have a chance, please stop by...I think you will like her Easter decorations!!
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by !! Stay safe, healthy and happy!!
    Hugs,
    Debbie

    1. Thanks so much, Debbie. Even though we are apart everyone in the family has someone to be with so that is a blessing in itself. I think my mental health is pretty good for now. I have more trouble being cooped up on dark and rainy days than I do on sunny days. I certainly find help in listening to our governor's news conferences, I think our state will do it right as long as he is calling the shots. So glad to hear that your state is slowing down in cases as is California..Take care and stay well..xxoJudy

  7. Thanks for sharing your blessings! I am a homebody, but I miss seeing my church family and my small ladies group, seeing family who live an hour away, I miss hugs, I miss grocery shopping and I MISS my dear husband. Although it's been 7 1/4 years since God called him home, this isolation brings more loneliness. I do have a younger friend who picks up and drops off groceries for me and I am thankful for that. God's continued blessings on you and your dear family ~ FlowerLady

  8. Oh, Lorraine. I wish we could be closer, it would be fun to do a drive-by wave. Even though I can't know how you feel I can tell you that I miss my son at times like this. He was a character that could always make me laugh. Laughs are so important at times like these. As far as the other misses go, truthfully, I don't miss grocery shopping too much, except that I don't get flowers now!! Take care my friend and stay well, hopefully, soon we will get hugs again..xxoJudy

  9. Beautiful post Judy! Loved seeing all of the photos of wonderful times in the past.. but yet still very PRESENT in your mind too I'm sure! I too am missing some actual "real" hugs and people contact (other than hubby). I didn't go out that much, but even going to the grocery store or thrift shop, or fabric store, put me in contact with people... a smile or a hello or sharing something.. I do miss that.. otherwise, I'm happy to be at home and feel very blessed too, that my loved ones are all Ok and safe and healthy. I think there is a stress we all feel though, about when we can safely venture out into public again and will that ugly virus still be "out there" to keep infecting people, over the future years. That's what scares me... and others I'm sure... and it does cause some stress that is very subtle but there. Have a blessed week! Marilyn

  10. Thanks so much, Marilyn. Yes, some hugs we can never get back but the memories stay strong. I am very worried that we may make a fast move to open up and then, here we would go again. I think until they get the testing stuff worked out, I would be OK with a while longer..Stay well, my friend..xxoJudy

  12. Love the post and the pictures. You have a way of making the words flow to tell your story. I pretty much always stay on the farm
but lately know I should definitely stay home and safe it's like "I gotta get out of here" I'm with you though a stop at Home Goods and I'm ready
for some chips and salsa. Maybe even a margarita. LOL But I'll stay home and commune with nature and the farm critters.
    Stay safe.
