I hope everyone had
a joyful holiday
filled with quality time spent
with family and friends
and all the best expectations
that anyone could want.
Our's was exactly that and more.
Much, much more!
Meet Robin (aka Birdie).
As you all probably know,
Tami works at the
Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter.
Occasionally, she shares pictures of
dogs that are available
for adoption.
If you remember...
...that is how Kai
came to join our family --
a very good choice.
Tami introduced to us,
a few weeks ago on Facebook,
this cute little five pound chihuahua
named Robin.
As we usually do
we said thanks, but no thanks,
and continued to make our plans
to join the kids
for Christmas.
We traveled down to Santa Cruz
and as you might have guessed by now,
we met Robin
who just happened to be
having a sleep-over at their house.
Of course,
as the story goes,
we adopted her and
the rest will be
history.
She is a
very sweet and loving little girl
who, incidentally,
happens to look like
a little brown bat...
...it is very weird!
The Caped Crusader takes charge!
She and Kai get along very well.
Kai really never learned
how to play and
she is showing him the ropes.
Above, they are in the process of
a skunk
stand off.
Holy Odor, this guy is tough!
Keep up the good fight, Robin, you almost got him!
Holy Barking Bow-wows!
Gotham City will sleep well tonight!
I think Robin
is a wonderful addition to our family
and I think
she thinks
so too.
It seems that
little Robin
has found her
"Bat" man.

That's wonderful sweet Kai has a friend now! So glad they get along and right away too, which is unusual. Usually takes some getting to know each other time! I'm sure little birdie will have a great home! I think our two rescue kitties (cats now) have enriched our older cat's life in many ways. She is about 14 now and I had NEVER seen her actually play! And now she loves to play and chase them, have them chase her, and she surprisingly plays now and then with one of their toys. Pretty crazy. Happy New Year to all of you! xoxo Marilyn
ReplyDeleteOh Judy, that is so totally adorable!! Congratulations on the new pooch! So glad the two get along!

ReplyDeleteHow wonderful you adopted. Too many animals that are euthanized out there. We adopted our kitties. Janice
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness!! How totally sweet, Judy! It's impossible to say no to those faces, isn't it? It seems like everyone is already settled and I bet you all couldn't imagine the house without her now. Congratulations and Happy, Happy New Year!! xoxo

ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your visit. I tried to answer but there is not a posting. Do you post? And I clicked on your e-mail but nothing came up. I hope you return to see this as I would love to compare ChiChi's. We are new to the breed and maybe you could give me some pointers. Yours look really cute in the small picture..Happy New Year..Judy
DeleteThose little chihuahuas are so smart. My son has one and he looks like a bat at times. Cute little dogs.

Oh Judy, what a sweet post!! I love your batman references. :D Robin is a cutie, and it's great that she and Kai have hit it off. You and the Captain are so good to adopt these rescue dogs. We've often thought that Mr. Duncan needs a playmate, but he is so wide open, he's about all I can handle.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your visits and sweet comments during the Christmas holidays -- they are so appreciated! I'm glad to read that you had such a good Christmas and I wish you all the best in 2019.
Warm hugs,
Denise
Happy New Year Judy! Congrat's on the Robin joining your family-she looks like she's been with you forever. Wishing you the best year ever!
