The Language of Flowers...

I really don't have

anything much to talk about this week.

I still have two sessions left

of physical therapy for my back,

it really feels

much better than it did at the beginning, and

I don't want to push the envelope

of the dreaded virus too far,

so have decided to hold them over

in case I need to go back

 for a tune up.

With nothing new to talk about,

I will just let

the flowers do the talking.

  The language of flowers

is universal

so they will say to you

what you like.

As I write this post,

 I am heartsick.

  Words really can't express

what I am feeling now.

 There is something really unforeseen

happening within our family now

 that I will talk about

sometime later.

Until then

I hope you will understand

that I am using the language of flowers

to tell you all how much

I care, until my words can do the job.

I don't mean to be maudlin or dramatic.

 It is just too soon

for me

 to share my feelings.

Stay smart,

stay well and

wear your masks.

...Judy...

A dear friend

mentioned that

the black color background

made her feel a little sad.

The funny thing is

that while I was preparing this post,

 before I read her comment,

I was thinking that I would change it.

It is the right thing for me now.

  Thank you, dear friend.

  1. I didn't think about sad on the background but I do like this lighter color. It looks great! And I adore the photos of the flowers. Beautiful photography work!

  2. I am sorry for things happening in your family that make you sad. When this happens in life, we wonder "why"??? Your flowers speak well to try to keep you/us cheered up as much as possible. I agree.. I think I do like this white background better. The black is kind of mysterious and maybe good for winter or Halloween?? Best wishes and blessings coming your way from me! Marilyn

  3. Dear Judy ~ your flower photos are wonderful!! What camera are you using?

The black backgrounds are hard for me to read so I'm glad you've chosen a light background.

I'm sorry for the upsetting family issues you are having to deal with right now. Write us again when you feel you can. Love, hugs and prayers ~ FlowerLady

    1. Thanks so much, Lorraine, for your encouraging words. My camera is a Canon SX530. I use Picasa for editing. I know there is editing on the new blogger, but I like what I use on Picasa. I do click on the photo after it is on the post and click on the little pencil and you can change the size of your photos. I use Original size. I like the bigness of them.. I'm sorry you couldn't read the black background. It is so pretty on another blog that I saw, but the timing is not right for me now. I do like the white and have changed many times to different backgrounds but always seem to come back, so guess this is it..Stay well..xxoJudy

    1. Thanks so much, Kris. I'm glad you like the flowers. I enjoy taking the photos. My back is not perfect, but I have decided to do what I can, and when it acts up, just sitting in a chair for awhile and it is better, then I go again, until the next time. It dosen't feel like the most important problem now..Stay well..xxoJudy

  7. Your flower shots are gorgeous, I hope they bring you a bit of joy during your difficult time, I know I enjoy all the beauty I can gather. I hope everyone stays safe, the Jones fire is heartbreakingly close, will be nice to leave triple digits and the freak lightening strikes with devastating consequences, rain cannot come soon enough for me now, I want fires to be a very distant memory.

  10. Congratulations it looks like you have mastered the New Blogger format. I a impressed. I haven't even tried it yet, seems like there is so much to handle right now that I have not been in the mood to attempt it.

I hope that whatever you are dealing with will be solved soon, we don't need extra worries right now. Take care, I will be thinking of you.

    1. Thanks so much, Adrienne. I appreciate your kindness. I have tried the new blogger, but I couldn't figure out how to change the backgrounds so went back to the old one. When that one goes, I guess I will be stuck where I am. I did find it pretty easy to do just the basics though. I know you could figure it out..Stay well..xxoJudy

  18. Everyone knows someone who is unwell for one reason or other, some might just feel under the weather whilst others are critical. University research has proved that plants and flowers create a positive impact on our mental and emotional health particularly by lifting anxiety and depression when flowers are put in the room. It's also been shown that when a basket of flowers or plants are present patients have needed less pain medication had lower blood pressure in addition to their recovery was noticeably quicker. Give it that personal touch and order flowers online today to let them know you are thinking of them. Flori in Cluj Napoca

The Language of Flowers tells the story of Lottie, a girl who lives in the small town of Bluebell, Alabama. Lottie spends her days working at the flower shop and dreaming of the life she could have if she left the sleepy town. When Lottie's father dies, she finds herself alone and with no real direction. One day, she receives a letter from her long-lost aunt who left her a house in New York City and a journal that she was supposed to write in every day. The letter tells Lottie that she must find a flower that speaks to her and be careful of the people who might be following her. After spending some time in New York City, Lottie finds herself back in Bluebell and with a new perspective on life. Book Writing Company
