Last spring
I shared a post entitled
It featured a
Saturday afternoon road trip
to the North Fork
of the Yuba River
which was raging down the canyon
after heavy rains and snow melt.
I told about
the deafening sound the river made
as it crashed along the rocks.
We took that ride again
this past weekend
and it was raging just as hard as ever
so I captured it on video
so you could experience the sounds
as well as the visual...
The videos turned out great
but somewhere between
the camera and the blog
I couldn't figure out how
to transfer them. (So what else is new?)
I googled it
and the instructions were clear
and I followed them closely and
nothing!!
I also took a video of Kai
walking up the hill from behind
so you could see how
his spine is affecting him
but, again, nada!
I would appreciate it so much
if someone could give me some advice.
It seems like a fairly
straight forward ordeal
according to Google,
but I guess
I must have
missed something.
If, and when,
it gets figured out
I will send them on to you.
Some flowers
and fresh produce
brought home from
Trader Joe's...
...and a glimpse of
a change coming
to the Cottage.
We had this
delicious dinner last night.
A very simple, tasty and easy meal to fix.
Just so this post
isn't so short because of
lack of content,
I will share the recipe:
Floating Tacos
1 1/2 lb hamburger - browned
1 onion
1 cup cooked rice
6 oz tomato paste
8 oz tomato sauce
3 cup water
2 Tbls sugar
1 clove garlic
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp salt
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp cumin
1 - 15 oz can black beans
Mix all together,
cook on stove or in crockpot,
serve with toppings
over corn chips.
Toppings:
cheese, sour cream, avacado, olives, salsa, shredded lettuce and chopped tomatoes.
I showed this arrangement
last week
but thought the
profusion of lillies
after one week
was worth sharing
again.
Have a wonderful week and
Happy Easter to all.
...Judy...

Look at how you're trying to insert the video into your blog. Are you trying to insert it like you would a picture or are you using the icon that looks like a movie camera or the little movie clip board when they say "take 2". that's all I have. I may work in Technology but I tend to be tech challenged. Anyway water is so powerful and loud as it rages on that's for sure. The lilly arrangement is beautiful. And that taco salad looks pretty yummy.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post Judy. The recipe sounds wonderful and I wish I had some right now.
ReplyDeleteSounds like your road trip was good.
Don't faint, but I did a post last night. I am sure most of my blogging friend gave up on me. Will try and do better.
Take care my friend and wishing you, the Captain and Kei a very blessed Ester.
Hugs,
mary
Judy, I do not think I will ever get a video on my blog...grr. I am just dense when it comes to that. I loved the lilies, such a beautiful color too. I truly do not think I could let Ted shop without a big list..telling what I want, where it is in the store, so and so forth. LOL. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter!Your pink lilies are adorable!Hugs!
ReplyDeleteJudy, I am actually salivating looking at your Floating Tacos! Yum. I need to pin that recipe immediately. As far as videos go, I could never get a video to load directly to blogger. The option is there, but it never worked for me. I have to load the video to YouTube and then insert the YouTube link into my blog. That's the only way I know how to do that. Not sure which method you were trying, but if you need help with the YouTube thing...I can walk you through it! I
ReplyDeleteThose floating tacos look pretty darned good to me!!!! If a video is too long it won't upload. It has to be 'short and sweet' for blogger to accept it.
ReplyDeleteSpring there looks a whole lot different than spring does here. xo Diana
Tacos are delicious! I also have no idea how to upload video directly in blog..
ReplyDeleteI could use a road trip! It is winter all over again here in the midwest.
ReplyDeleteYour recipe looks out of sight! I will definitely work it into my grocery list!

Stove top meal looks so good. If I made it, it would not look like this. I copied the ingredients and will make it as Steve loves these kind of dishes. Wonderful pictures of the stream and rock.
ReplyDeleteI can hear the rushing stream with just looking at it. Happy Wednesday - betsy
I never could get a video to work on my blog either! It has something to do with what you use....blogger or Word Press....still couldn't figure it out :-( The taco dish sounds great! Pretty flowers. Still waiting for Spring here...
ReplyDeleteI am NOT a computer geek, my dear husband was, so when I have problems or questions, I don't know what to do. I need to update JavaScript and don't know how to do that. It used to do it automatically. For now, I'm just copying my video links and posting them in my blog.
ReplyDeleteThat taco salad looks wonderful!
Happy Spring and Happy Easter ~ FlowerLady
Yum on those taco's. That is my kind of dinner. Thanks for the recipe. I have put video's on You Tube and then transferred them to my blog from there. That was the only way I could get them to work. I am so computer not savvy! So I am really no help. Happy Easter.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Kris
I haven't done the video load in a long time, except from youtube. I'll try to remember what the scoop is -- looks like you have a few answers. If I come up with anything, I'll let you know. (The day and recipe sound great and good news on Kai!)
ReplyDeleteOh what prettiness - and the floating tacos sound delicious - I might give that a try one evening. When you get the videos figured out I will be waiting - have a grand weekend my friend.
ReplyDeleteI know nothing about loading a video onto blogger, except one that is already there on YouTube. I hit the "share" button, and a link comes up in blue, and then I hit "copy".. and go over to where I'm doing a post, and go up top to the little thing to the right of the insert pictures icon, open it and copy the video into the place where it asks for the link. But a video I've made myself? no idea! sorry. I would ask the question to a google search as I do that when I have a problem with something, and I almost always get the answer. I can almost hear that rushing river but would love to hear it for real! Oh.. those pink lilies are just gorgeous too.... and the taco dish is similar to one I make and hubby and I absolutely LOVE it. I like the addition of the avacados. I'm hungry.. it's dinner time! Have a very nice Easter... Marilyn
ReplyDeleteJudy, I'm useless with video.
ReplyDeleteHave a splendid Easter Sunday!
I have no idea how to do videos on a blog . . . one of our smart blogging sisters should do a tutorial. As for eating tacos . . . that I know how to do, LOL. Those look amazing:)
