Kitchen Update #1

Hi everyone: Welcome to the kitchen's progress.

The appliances were delivered yesterday. WOW, are they shiny and pretty!

They rolled up to the Cottage in style.

Our driveway is behind the Cottage, but that size truck would not fit, so they had to walk them up the street.

The old refrigerator being removed.

Goodbye old friend..You served us well.

Putting the new one in place.

I think pretty and shiny was mentioned!

Here the new oven is being installed.

Oh, No, it doesn't quite fit!

Calling the Captain with his trusty hammer and chisel.

AHHHH, now that's just perfect!

That's just good and perfect!

"I used to be cold, but now I'm just old!"

Stay tuned for Kitchen Update #2....Judy

    1. Thanks Carlene. I will still have the black microwave and dishwasher for awhile as they are in good shape right now. Try to put a stainless panel over dishwasher. You are right about the plate. Got a whole set from my neighbor's yard sale for $10. Happy Sunday..Judy

  9. How fun to get brand new appliances! You did mention shiny! They look great. I can't wait to see more of the kitchen. I just noticed your delft sugar and coffee canisters on your sidebar. I have those same ones. Mine have been broken and repaired a few times though. I think one of mine says tea also. Oh well!

    Have fun!

    1. Hi Nancy. Thanks for visiting the Cottage and your kind comments. They are really shiny and I haven't gotten the cleaner for them yet, so the fingerprints are driving me crazy. But I was warned, but I love them anyway. I have rice, barley, coffee, oatmeal, sugar, oil. Had vinegar but broke that one beyond fixing, and 6 small spice ones, in that cannister set. Some have been glued before me. No tea, though..Happy Monday..Judy

  11. That is the kind of fridge I want. The freezer on the bottom holds more it seems to me.
Fine looking stainless steel oven too. I look forward to update #2. I also really love your front yard fountain and arbor.

    1. Thanks Betsy for your kind words. I really like the freezer on the bottom, because it makes the frig part higher up and you don't have to lean down so much. Our poor fountain is getting really rusty but isn't that the look we are all after? I guess!! Happy Monday..Judy

  13. Hi Kelly: I'm laughing right now, because he hooked up the ice maker yesterday, something he didn't get around to with our old fridge! When I thanked him, his words were "Well, I haven't seen my lemon cream pie yet!"..So you hit that nail on the head..Happy Monday..Judy

  21. Fun, Fun. Especially a new oven for your new (ish) found cooking abilities. (Well, you always had them but are really INTO it now). Just got my new appliances and had a great day just doing the laundry! Had a pile waiting for them to arrive cause no way was I going to the laundry mat! It really is nice, especially if you've never had new ones. :-) As you probably know, take no paper towels to the stainless s.
